This property is located within the London Borough of Lambeth, and is situated within the Sibella Road Conservation Area. The design proposal was to improve the skyline by raising the roof to match the height of the eaves with the neighbouring properties. This provided the residents with extra storage space and a bathroom on the top level to accommodate 2 extra bedrooms.
In addition a high quality rear extension was designed that utilises the difference in ground levels of the plot between front and rear to enable a two storey extension without increasing the height of the existing building. This proposal showcases the existing rear façade, and the arched fenestration system with a light and transparent design.
