2 Bedroom House
Location: Putney, London. UK.
The flat, purchased by a young four-member family, had to be converted from a one-bedroom to a two-bedroom house. The project was conceived to allow the work to happen gradually, without preventing the owners from enjoying the house in the meanwhile. The first stage of the project envisaged straightening and rationalising the entrance hall, thus simplifying the circulation. Concurrently the second bedroom has been accommodated in place of the sitting room. The latter has merged into the kitchen thus creating a unique space overlooking the back garden. In a second phase, a rear extension will potentially be built, in order to enlarge the indoor living space.
